This is a Vintagetools Custom Rack (VTCR) equipped with two legendary Telefunken V76 tube amplifiers with consecutive serial numbers. The housing is a very stable one-off custom rack, which was constructed in such a way that the heavy modules sit firmly and safely in the housing and at the same time, thanks to a double-walled construction, are flush with the front plate of the rack. The F version of the V76 is a remote controllable device. In addition to the various filter settings, the module itself has a rotary switch for either 0dB or -20dB attenuation (PAD). Together with the 4-stage rotary switch (40-52-64-76dB) installed by us, the following gain settings are possible: + 20dB / 32dB / 40dB / 44dB / 52dB / 56dB / 64dB / 76dB. In order to enable an even finer control of the gain, we have installed an additional output PAD. This is infinitely variable from off (mute) to "fully open". This not only enables any gain setting from 0-76dB, but also allows you to play creatively with the sound. Depending on the position, it goes from clean over saturated to distorted. If you leave the Output PAD open, there is no difference in sound to the V76 / 80 or V76 / 120.
- Phantom voltage module with 230V input and stable, slowly increasing 48V DC output voltage for condenser microphones. The slow increase protects the V76 input transformer.
- Any gain setting from 0dB to + 76dB possible. Saturation effects are also possible thanks to the extra Output PAD.
