Note on the Current Product Situation
We have recently acquired a large quantity of professional vintage equipment. Realistically, it would take several years to fully refurbish all of these devices.
Therefore, we are now offering selected items in three different conditions:
- Defective / unrestored – ideal for professionals with their own workshop or for use as spare parts.
- Functional but not overhauled – tested and operational, but without a full restoration.
- Fully overhauled – thoroughly restored both technically and cosmetically.
Especially interesting for skilled technicians: those who can carry out their own restorations will find high-quality equipment here at attractive prices.
To use our resources efficiently, we now proceed as follows: devices will primarily be overhauled once a buyer has been found.
The portable mixer (transmission amplifier) V65 was introduced in 1950. Its developments included the V65a (1952), V65b (1954), and V65c (1956). Even in the mid-1980s, EAB Geiling was still producing mixing systems in rod construction for broadcasters like ARD and ZDF. The V65c is a portable 6-channel studio mixer with master fader and level meter, built in robust tube technology. Output level selectable at 6, 12 or 15 dBu. It includes a built-in tone generator and interval signal generator. Power supply can also be battery-operated, independent of mains electricity.
In a modern studio environment, this 6:1 channel mono mixer can serve as a very high-quality, excellent-sounding microphone preamp. Depending on whether you tap the signal directly from the channel or route it through the master, the sound will vary. Each channel is equipped with an EF86 tube. Thanks to the 0/20 dB switch, both dynamic and condenser microphones can be connected. These six channels are then summed into a main amplifier built in three stages (3x EF86). A linear fader is placed between the first and second stage as the master level control. The second and third tubes amplify the signal using negative feedback. Behind the output transformer, the level is +12 dB. An additional downstream transformer distributes the output signal and adapts it to +6 dB, +12 dB, or +15 dB.
