This is a fully assembled VT19-3U rack, equipped with eight Telefunken V676b microphone preamplifiers, an external power supply, and an internal 48V voltage converter for phantom power. The Telefunken V676a was introduced in the 1960s, shortly after the Siemens Sitral series, and was one of the first transistorized amplifiers following the tube-based V-series (V72, V76, U73b, etc.) used in broadcasting. The V676b is the direct successor from the 1970s. It is an excellent-sounding microphone preamp with the typical vintage sound, shaped by the high-quality Haufe and Pikatron ring core transformers of that era, which have become highly sought after today. The amplifier offers up to 70dB of gain and features the characteristic combination of a high-quality rotary switch and a potentiometer for fine adjustment, typical of German broadcasting technology. The low-cut filter can either be completely bypassed or gently engage at 80Hz, 140Hz, or 200Hz. Additionally, there is a phase reversal switch.

The eight microphone preamps have undergone a full service and are in perfect working condition. This is the rare version with the original Telefunken logo. Later, these preamps were produced in identical form in revisions B, C, and D by ANT, the successor to Telefunken. Although there is absolutely no difference between the two versions, the devices with the Telefunken logo are more sought after and therefore more valuable for resale. On the right side, there is the power switch with an associated control LED, as well as four additional toggle switches, each of which powers phantom power for a pair of the preamps. In this rack, we deliberately omitted the internal Tuchel bridges. Instead, the counter plugs are directly mounted and connected to XLR input sockets on the rear panel.

About the new VT19-3U rack:
The VT19-3U rack for Danner cassettes fills the gap between the VT19-1U and VT19-5U racks. Similar to the VT19-5U, the cassettes are mounted vertically here. However, only small cassettes in size B (9.5 cm x 4 cm) can be installed in this 3U housing. A maximum of ten cassettes can fit in the rack.

What´s included:
19” 3U rack
Matching rear panel with space for 21 Neutrik XLR panel connectors

We offer our VT19 racks as empty housings, kits with assembly parts, or fully built versions. In addition to the cassettes, you will also need suitable counter connectors such as the Tuchel T2701 or ANT counter connectors, Neutrik XLR panel connectors, an external power supply, and if microphone amplifiers are installed, an internal power supply for 48V.
