This is a fully assembled VT19-3U rack, equipped with eight BFE MV1 microphone preamplifiers, an external power supply, and an internal 48V voltage converter for phantom power. The MV1 is less well-known than the Neumann V476b, Telefunken V676a, or Lawo V976, but it is in no way inferior in terms of sound quality or build quality. This amplifier was also built according to the strict specifications of the ARD (IRT) requirements and features high-quality Haufe and Pikatron transformers, precise rotary switches, and other premium components. BFE was one of the largest broadcast equipment manufacturers of its time and is still active today. The company has equipped numerous OB vans and television studios. The MV1 preamplifiers, the legendary BFE Filter MK3 and MK7, as well as the BKE4 compressors, were used in many analog mixing consoles with Danner cassette technology. The amplifier provides up to 80 dB of gain and features the typical combination of a high-quality rotary switch and a potentiometer for fine adjustment, as is standard in German broadcast technology. The low-cut filter can be engaged at 40 Hz, 80 Hz, 140 Hz, 200 Hz, or 300 Hz. Additionally, there is a phase inversion switch and a phantom power switch. The eight microphone preamplifiers have undergone a thorough maintenance and function perfectly. On the right side, there is the power switch with an indicator LED below it. On the MV1, phantom power is switched directly on the module, which is why the usual toggle switches on the rack are not present. This rack features Tuchel bridges with T2701 mating connectors, allowing the modules to be easily removed for servicing without having to disassemble the entire rack.
About the new VT19-3U rack:
The VT19-3U rack for Danner cassettes fills the gap between the VT19-1U and VT19-5U racks. Similar to the VT19-5U, the cassettes are mounted vertically here. However, only small cassettes in size B (9.5 cm x 4 cm) can be installed in this 3U housing. A maximum of ten cassettes can fit in the rack.
What´s included:
• 19” 3U rack
• Matching rear panel with space for 21 Neutrik XLR panel connectors
We offer our VT19 racks as empty housings, kits with assembly parts, or fully built versions. In addition to the cassettes, you will also need suitable counter connectors such as the Tuchel T2701 or ANT counter connectors, Neutrik XLR panel connectors, an external power supply, and if microphone amplifiers are installed, an internal power supply for 48V.
